Acts No. 23/2015 and 19/2023 - documents submitted for Royal Assent
Dear Office of Parliamentary Counsel,
Is it possible to provide documents submitted to the Governor-General for royal assent to these two Acts (including the certificate from either the Speaker of the House of Representatives or the President of the Senate, and the certificate signed by the Attorney-General recommending assent)?
These Acts are:
- Succession to the Crown Act 2015

- Home Affairs Act 2023
No. 19, 2023

Governor-General for royal assent to the Succession to the Crown Act 2015
and the Home Affairs Act 2023.
OPC received your request on 30 August 2024 and the 30 day statutory

period of 30 days may be extended if we need to consult third parties or

In regards Act No. 19/2023, there is no letter from the Speaker of the House of Representatives to the Governor-General about Royal Assent to the Act in our records.
