Access to research from the "Environmental Assessment" in Report 1, 2021
Dear Australian Communications and Media Authority,
The June 2021 report "A report to government on the adequacy of digital platforms’ disinformation and news quality measures" references two pieces of research in its "Environmental Assessment":
1. "...desktop research, commissioned quantitative and qualitative research from the
University of Canberra’s News and Media Research Centre (N&MRC);
2. "...network analysis project from creative agency and social media consultancy We Are Social."
Could I kindly request access to both of these research documents.
Kind regards,
Andrew
Dear Andrew,
Thank you for your FOI request dating 8 October 2024.
Document 1 was published in March 2022 by the News and Media Research
Centre and can be accessed here: [1]COVID-19: Australian news and
misinformation longitudinal study (apo.org.au).
Document 2 was released as part of a previous FOI request to the agency,
and as it is publicly available on the ACMA’s Disclosure Log, I am happy
to provide you with a copy of the report (attached).
As the documents you have requested are available publicly, we consider
this matter to be concluded, and your request is now taken to be
withdrawn.
Kind regards,
ACMA FOI
