I refer to your request under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (FOI
Act) for access to documents.
You requested to access:
Any documents related to the Critical Infrastructure Resilience Strategy
pertaining to the current and planned operating expenses any current or
draft project status documents related to the Critical Infrastructure
Resilience Strategy. The original strategy stated that there would be a
review conducted in 2020 and I would like to know the status of this
review and would like to request any associated documents to this review.
Section 16(1) of the FOI Act relevantly provides that where a request is
made to an agency for access to a document and the subject‑matter of the
document is more closely connected with the functions of another agency
than with those of the agency to which the request is made, the agency to
which the request is made may, with the agreement of the other agency,
transfer the request to the other agency.
I wish to confirm that the Attorney-General’s Department transferred your
request to the Department of Home Affairs for continued processing on 12
June 2020 under section 16(1) of the FOI Act. An Officer from the

COVID-19 (Coronavirus) has been declared a pandemic by the World Health Organisation (link). As the Department focuses its efforts on managing the impact of COVID-19 on its critical services and employees, other non-critical services may not be delivered within expected timeframes. Scope of request
You have requested access to the following:
Any documents related to the Critical Infrastructure Resilience Strategy pertaining to the current and planned operating expenses any current or draft project status documents related to the Critical Infrastructure Resilience Strategy. The original strategy stated that there would be a review conducted in 2020 and I would like to know the status of this review and would like to request any associated documents to this review.
The subject matter of the documents requested by you is more closely connected with the functions of the Department of Home Affairs (the Department) than the functions of the Attorney-General’s Department. As such, your request was transferred to the Department on 12 June 2020 under section 16 of the FOI Act.

Timeframe for receiving your decision

Good morning,
I refer to your request received on 11 June 2020 for access to documents under the FOI Act.
The current due date for your request is 11 July 2020.
Due to the number of requests currently being processed by our office, we will not be able to finalise your request by the original due date.
In order for the Department to complete the process of retrieving all the documents that fall within the scope of your request the Department will require additional time to process your request.
