Last 12 months of maintenance work orders for four heritage buildings hosting childcare centres
Dear Australian National University,
In a quote to RiotAct yesterday, your spokesperson referred to:
“In the last 12 months alone, the university has completed 244 corrective or reactive maintenance work orders at a cost of almost $1 million across the four heritage buildings where the childcare centres are based.”
(See https://the-riotact.com/anu-under-federa...).
I request access to both any document, list or database that lists those corrective or reactive maintenance work orders, including the dates and value of that maintenance work and
I request this as an application for the purposes of the Freedom of Information Act.
I would happily consider administrative access if that is easier/quicker.
Please time limit the scope of this request to after January 2023.
Yours faithfully,
A concerned parent

Good afternoon,
I refer to your request for access to documents under the Freedom of
Information Act 1982 (the Act) received by the University on 3 July 2024,
FOI Reference 20400095.
Your request is receiving attention and a decision will be provided to you
as soon as possible..
Unfortunately, we are currently experiencing delays regarding your request
and we will be unable to provide you with a response by the current
decision date of 1 August 2024.
There also likely to be further delays due to the FOI team dealing with a
high number of complex FOI requests with minimal staff.
Accordingly, the University is seeking an extension of time of 30 days in
accordance with section 15AA of the FOI Act.
If you agree to the extension, the University would be required to provide
you with a decision notice by no later than COB 31 August 2024.
Your earliest response would be appreciated as we are required to notify
the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) of any
extension agreed.
Yours sincerely

Hi FOI team,
Thanks for your email. I do not agree at this time to an extension of time.
I have specifically narrowed this request to ensure it is easier to identify and manage. I am open to administrative access, which would reduce the burden on your minimal staff.
Yours sincerely,
Stephen Proust
