The role of the ACC is to: undertake criminal intelligence collection and analysis; set clear national criminal intelligence priorities; and conduct intelligence led investigations of criminal activity of national significance including the conduct and/or coordination of investigative and intelligence taskforces approved by the ACC Board. The ACC has access to coercive powers which are exercised by its Examiners.
