Which Agencies are RBA's Transaction Banking Customers
Dear Reserve Bank of Australia,
The 2018-19 annual report states that the RBA provides transaction banking services to over 90 Australian government agencies. However, the AusTender website only lists 35 agency contracts for RBA transaction banking services. Where can we get a full list of the 90 agencies that receive transaction banking services from RBA?
Yours faithfully,
Tracy
Dear Ms Huang,
In terms of the FOI Act 1982, I confirm receipt of your request and advise that processing of it commenced on 7 November 2019.
Yours sincerely

Dear Ms Huang,
Further to your request of 7 November 2019 seeking ‘a full list of the 90
agencies that receive transaction banking services from RBA’, I advise
that a full list as you've described was not in existence at the time you
lodged your request.
The Bank has a number of lists that were prepared, in the past, of
agencies which at the time were receiving transactional banking services
from the Bank. However, these lists are exempt from release to you in
terms of [1]Schedule II, Part II, Division I of the FOI Act, under which
the Reserve Bank of Australia is exempt ‘in relation to documents in
respect of its banking operations’.
Regarding your observation that the RBA’s Annual Report references 90
agencies, but that AusTender references only 35, the Bank understands that
a number of agencies are not required under the Commonwealth Procurement
Rules to notify their procurement of transactional banking services on
AusTender.
Yours sincerely
Anthony Dickman | Secretary | Secretary's Department
