Was the selection of candidates for the Climate Change Working Party made in accordance with RACP policy?
Dear Royal Australasian College of Physicians,
Could you provide deidentified data to confirm that the persons selected for the Climate Change Working party (2015) were selected according to the College's own policies:
The policy states that:
"important strata of the College membership (for example: gender, geographic location, ethnicity, public and private practice) are represented among the candidates."
I note that no response has been given to private correspondence requesting this information.
Yours faithfully,
Dr T Smyth FRACP

Dear Member Services,
Could you provide deidentified data for each member of the current working party on climate change in relation to:
gender
geographic location
ethnicity
public and private practice
as requested previously
Yours sincerely,
Dr TMS
Dear Member Services,
Could you demonstrate the selection of candidates for the Climate Change Working Party was made in accordance with RACP policy.
This may be done by publishing the names of those on the Committee.
If this is not possible could you provide deidentified data listing their gender, ethnicity, geographic location, type of practice.
No information has been provided to confirm that the Working Party's representation accords with its own policy regarding its composition:
"important strata of the College membership (for example: gender, geographic location, ethnicity, public and private practice) are represented among the candidates."
The previous response is disingenuous - no effort has been made to demonstrate that the process followed College policy.
Yours sincerely,
Dr TMS
