Waitlist for citizenship ceremony
Dear Blacktown City Council,
I would like to request you to share the number of people waiting to attend the citizenship ceremony?
My application has been approved on 29th April 2023. Could you please share the ETA for my citizenship ceremony date ?

Congratulations on receiving approval for Australian Citizenship. It is an honour for Blacktown Council to be able to host your ceremony.
According to the Department of Home Affairs and Immigration website there are 1830 total approved applicants with the wait time being between 3 and 6 months. If you require an urgent ceremony, there are a number of circumstances where the Department will consider assigning you to the next available ceremony.
• Visiting a close family member who is terminally ill
• Attending a funeral of a close family member
• Receive urgent medical treatment in another country that you cannot receive in Australia
• Attend legal proceedings in person
• Accompany a sick/elderly relative for one of the reasons above
