I refer to your request received by the Department of Health and Aged Care
(the department) for access to documents under the Freedom of Information
Act 1982 (FOI Act). You have requested access to:
I am seeking all correspondence between the Department of Health and the
Minister for Sport, the Hon Annika Wells MP, relating to the Ministers
travel to the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
The reference number for your request is FOI-4102. Please ensure that you

Timeframes
Your request was received on 22 November 2022. The statutory timeframe
for processing your request is 30 calendar days and you should expect to
be notified of a decision from the department on or before 22 December

Dear Ms Loom
I refer to your FOI request (FOI 4102) of 22 November 2022 to the
Department of Health and Aged Care (department), seeking access under the
Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Cth) (FOI Act). The FOI Act requires the
department to provide you with an access decision by 22 December 2022 (30
days).
Many areas of the department, including the FOI Section, will be closed
from 24 December 2022 to 2 January 2023.
To ensure the department has sufficient time to process your request and
provide access to all relevant documents, we are seeking your agreement to
extend the period for completing your FOI request by 21 days under section
15AA of the FOI Act). If you agree to this extension, the department would
be required to provide you with an access decision by 12 January 2023.
