Dear Mr Sweeney,
Due to the time of year, the impending holiday season, the number of
officers on leave and the unusually high number of requests being
presently handled by the department, we are writing to formally request,
under section 15AA of the Freedom of Information Act 1982, an extension of
time of 30 days in which to process the requests. The 30 day period within
which all reasonable steps must be taken to finalise each request, would
then expire on 9 February 2017.
Your FOI request is as follows:
“Professor Ian Ramsay and his panel are currently conducting a "Review of
the financial system external dispute resolution and complaints framework"
as a Treasury inquiry.
The documents I seek are copies of correspondence and any attached
document between the project panel (and any Treasury support staff) and
the Superannuation Complaints Tribunal in relation to this inquiry.”
We would be most grateful for your early response.
Kind regards,

Dear Mr Sweeney.
We refer to your recent FOI request to the Superannuation Complaints
Tribunal (SCT) dated 19 December 2016 which, as you would by now be aware,
has been transferred to this department for processing.
That request, as you will also be aware, is identical to the request (No:
2058) which you lodged with this department on 11 December 2016. Both
requests read as follows:
‘Professor Ian Ramsay and his panel are currently conducting a "Review of
the financial system external dispute resolution and complaints framework"
as a Treasury inquiry.
The documents I seek are copies of correspondence and any attached
document between the project panel (and any Treasury support staff) and
the Superannuation Complaints Tribunal in relation to this inquiry.’
Given that this department is now in possession of two identical requests
from the same applicant, we would be grateful if you could give
consideration to formally withdrawing the request initially made to the
SCT. We will continue processing the request made directly to this
department, in relation to which we have already issued an estimate of
charges.
Many thanks.
