National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).

Scope of your request

You have requested access to the following documents about the National
Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS):

“…data of the increase of average plan value since Sept 2019, due to the
addition of health related supports that were previously covered by
Health, as per below operational guidelines.

Please provide the numbers of plans that have items from the below
Operational Guidelines in their plan.”

Processing timeframes

We received your request on 17 July 2021 and the 30-day statutory period
for processing your request commenced from the day after that date. You

Extension of time application by National Disability Insurance Agency

Dear Ms Humphris

I write to advise that on 16 August 2021, the Office of the Australian
Information Commissioner (the OAIC) received an application from the
National Disability Insurance Agency (the NDIA) for an extension of time
to process your FOI request made on 17 July 2021.

The NDIA has applied for an extension of time under s 15AB of the Freedom
of Information Act 1982 (Cth) because your request is considered to be
complex and voluminous. 

·     The NDIA has advised the OAIC that:

−     the request is complex and obtaining the data covered by the request
is a long and time consuming process

−     during the end stages of processing, the NDIA identified further
documents that may be in scope

−     the NDIA requires further time to confirm that all documents in
scope have been appropriately identified and to review the documents
before making a decision, and

−     the NDIA is committed to issuing a decision as soon as possible.

The NDIA has requested an extension to 15 September 2021. I will take any
comments you may have to make into account when deciding the application.

Please respond to this email by close of business 20 August 2021. If I do
not hear from you by this date, I will proceed to make a decision on the
basis of the information provided to me by the NDIA.

You will be notified of the decision once the matter has been finalised.
