The Australian Government's shameful attitude to my allegations.

Dear Attorney-General's Department,
I would like you to explain, under the Freedom of Information Act, why the Government is sitting on its hands while the Commonwealth Bank defrauds thousands of Australian citizens. I am frustrated and angry. The authorities (ASIC, APRA, Federal Police, Ombudsman, etc) know an investigation will open a can of worms. They have lied to me, fobbed me off and treated me like a pariah for the last 13 years. The Commonwealth Bank is surreptitiously deducting fees from fee-free allocated pension accounts. This mess began in June 2006 when my wife and I bought an allocated pension, which was advertised as fee-free, from a financial adviser employed by the Commonwealth Bank. I discovered a monthly fee was being deducted from our allocated pension. That's fraud. The fee was advertised as free for no other reason than to persuade the hesitating buyer. We cancelled our allocated pension in 2010. The Commonwealth Bank is, and has been for at least the last 13 years, enticing customers to buy allocated pensions by false advertising. I can supply you with a statement, in black print on white paper, that the Commonwealth Bank knows the advertising is false. The Hayne royal commission was established to outlaw fraudulent practices by banks. The Commonwealth Bank is operating precisely the same fraud today as it was before the Hayne royal commission began. In other words, the Commonwealth Bank is laughing at Hayne while it continues to surreptitiously deduct fees from fee-free allocated pension accounts. I pleaded with Hayne to let me loose at the royal commission. What a waste of time! Hayne knew my evidence would be extremely detrimental to the reputation of the Commonwealth Bank so he made sure the royal commission never heard it. And every politician, including Australia's Prime Minister, is protecting the Commonwealth Bank. My wife and I have been fully reimbursed. Unless there is an investigation thousands of defrauded Australians will never be reimbursed

Sections 15(1) and (2) of the FOI Act provide that:
(1) …a person who wishes to obtain access to a document of an agency … may request access to the document
(2) The request must …
(b) provide such information concerning the document as is reasonably necessary to enable a responsible officer of the agency to identify it …
Furthermore, part 3.47 of the Guidelines issued by the Australian Information Commissioner states that –
The request must provide such information as is reasonably necessary to enable a responsible officer of the agency or the minister to identify the document that is requested (s 15(2)(b)) (see [3.109]).
As it stands, your request does not provide sufficient detail to enable searches and, accordingly, does not satisfy the requirements of a valid FOI request.
In order to submit a valid FOI request, please ensure that the request:
• be in writing (email is sufficient),
• state that the request is an application for the purposes of the FOI Act,
• describe the documents you seek in enough detail to allow the decision-maker to identify and find them, and
• provide an address for reply.

And there must be some sort of legislation that gives a member of the public the 'right to know' the reason. I can supply the evidence and you know it.
