Sydney Swans $2500 ASADA Breach
Dear Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority,
I am seeking the following documents under the Freedom Of
information Act 1982 as a Journalism student currently studying at
Macleay College in regards to the Swan's recent 'failure to provide up-to-date player addresses for ASADA's testers'.
1. Documents providing which specific footballers were left unnamed on the ASADA testing papers.
Yours faithfully,
Anthony Johnston
Dear Anthony,
Thank you for your email (below). Prior to being in a position to acknowledge your request can you please clarify whether the paragraph marked "1" of your request are the only documents you are seeking under this request, or are you seeking all documents "in regards to the Swan's recent 'failure to provide up-to-date player addresses for ASADA's testers" and "Documents providing which specific footballers were left unnamed on the ASADA testing papers"?
I look forward to hearing from you.
Regards

Dear Mr Johnson,
I refer to our email of 15 October 2015 seeking clarification of the
documents you were seeking under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Cth)
(FOI Act).
In order for your request to be valid, it must (amongst other things)
provide such information concerning the document as is reasonably
necessary to enable a responsible officer of the agency to identify it
(subsection 15(2)(b) of the FOI Act). You have not responded to our email
and we do not consider that your original request provides sufficient
clarity to enable us to identify the documents you seek. Accordingly,
pursuant to section 15 of the FOI Act, your request is not valid and we
will not process it.
You are of course welcome to submit a new FOI Application. However, should
you choose to do so, we will treat that application as a new request and
process it accordingly.
If you require any further clarification, please do not hesitate to
contact me.
