Section 15 of the FOI Act requires ANSTO to process your request no later than 30 days after the day the request is received. Your FOI request was received by ANSTO on 4 August 2023. This means that the current decision due date for your requests is Monday 4 September 2023.

However, this period of time may be extended in certain situations. Section 15(6) of the FOI Act allows us a further 30 days in situations where we need to consult with third parties about certain information, such as business documents or documents affecting their personal privacy. Further sections 15AA and 15AB of the FOI Act allow for extensions of time by consent or Order of the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. We will advise you if the timeframe for your request is extended.

Attached is ANSTO's brand playbook which I am releasing in full under administrative access. Administrative access is a quick and cost effective way to release documents for simple requests. However, unlike a decision under the FOI Act, a release of documentation under administrative access does not provide you with a decision and review rights.

Please let me know by 24 August 2023 whether this approach satisfies your request. If I don't hear from you by 24 August 2023 I will treat your FOI request as withdrawn.
