We refer to your correspondence dated 2 July 2027 seeking access to
information under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (FOI Act).
Extension request
We note that a decision is due to you on 2 September 2024. Section 15AA of
the FOI Act allows an agency to extend the due date of the request by no
more than 30 days with the written agreement from the Applicant.
For your consideration, your request involves extensive consultations to
be undertaken both internally within the Commission and externally with
other Commonwealth agencies. We have completed our internal consultations
and third party consultations, however we require further time to finalise
consultations with other Commonwealth agencies and issue a decision on
your matter. Considering this, we kindly seek your consent to an extension
of up to 30 days to process your request.
Please let us know if you approve of this extension by COB Wednesday 28
August 2024.
