Dear Caroline Cole,

Thank you for your prompt attention to this.

I think this application (Right to Know) has a tendency to end up in people's junk folders. My response was as follows:

Apologies for the ambiguity - the reporting region "South East" will suffice.

Yours sincerely,

Dear Jimp,

Thank you for your enquiry seeking data in relation to school lockdowns in
the South East region for the period of 2010 – 2024, and I apologise for
the delay in responding to you.

As lockdown data was not collected prior to 2020, the South-East Regional
Office has been able to extract some data for reported lockdowns in 2020
through to 2024. Please find attached a spreadsheet listing the school
locations, and dates, where lockdowns have occurred

It is important to note that Schools manage emergency lockdowns locally
and self-report these to the South-East Region.

Lockdowns can be initiated for a number of reasons. Some examples include:

o QPS matters or near school premises
o Threats of violence
o Intruders
o Student behaviour
o Student wellbeing matters
o Parent behaviour
o Snake sightings

We trust you find this information satisfactory.

Regards,

David Miller
