Requests by Queensland Government for access to rail corridor to perform planning work
Dear Australian Rail Track Corporation Limited,
I write to request the release of information about any requests by the Queensland Government, or agencies controlled by Queensland Government, for access to the Brisbane City - Gold Coast rail corridor tracks, covering the years 2005-2016, specifically in relation to requests for access for surveying and mapping purposes.
I also request access to documents relating to the upgrade of or any physical alterations to that stretch of line during that period of time.
Yours faithfully,
Amanda Horswill
Hi Amanda,
Thanks for your email.
We refer to your electronic request dated 10 March 2016 requesting
documents relating to the Brisbane City – Gold Coast rail corridor under
the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Cth) (Act).
We advise that ARTC is not an agency for the purposes of the Act and is
therefore exempt from the operation of the Act.
ARTC’s interstate network terminates at Acacia Ridge, Qld. As such, it
would appear that ARTC has no interest in the relevant line.
Kind regards,
