Request of 2014 budget summary spent in particular on pregnant women in the Indigenous communities in Australia.
Dear Department of Health,
Recently The Guardian published an article online ( http://www.theguardian.com/australia-new... ) stating that the death rates of Indigenous women during childbirth is as high as it is for women in some developing countries.
I wish to follow up this statement by requesting access to the 2014 budget summary spent in particular on pregnant women in the Indigenous communities in Australia as well as any supporting documentation showing correspondence between the Department of Health and specific hospitals in rural areas or indigenous communities to take action/implement programs to reduce the incidence of indigenous death rates during childbirth.
Yours faithfully,
Jess Portas-Hills
