Request for Westconnex contracts
Dear Transport for NSW,
Attention Mary Kington
GIPA officer
I wish to apply for information or documents containing the details of all contracts let by Westconnex (under the name Westconnex, Westconnex Delivery Authority WDA, RMS or any other entity) aside from Class 3 contracts.
This information should include
1) all contracts above $150,000 which are published on the NSW Trade and Investment site for a period and then taken down
2) all contracts of less than $150,000. Some of these were previously released under GIPA to Mehreen Faruqi MLC. I want the same details for these contracts as for 1) above.
I need this information in digital form not in hard copy.
I have tried ringing both you and Alison Macris at WDA to see if I can supply my credit card details over the phone for the $30 deposit. Please let me know prompty how I can do this.
In refusing my informal request Alison Macris as conveyed to me that staff are off the view that the information I seek will need to be extracted from a database and that this will cost money.
Since it seems that in principle the WDA agrees that this information should be publicly available, please deal with this request as soon as possible, so I can consider whether the charges are justified. As a senior citizen who is not employed, I anticipate that I will be entitled to some reduction in fees.
Yours faithfully,
Wendy Bacon

Dear Transport for NSW,
Yesterday I sent a GIPA request to Transport of NSW. However I now realise that it went through to NSW Trains. They have forwarded it onto you. However can you please confirm that you have received it. Also can I pay by credit card rather than postal order or cheque? I don't have a cheque book and it is not convenient for me to get a postal order today. I would imagine that in 2015, you have facilities for credit card payment. If I can't pay by credit card, can you explain why the Department of Transport does not have this facility?
Yours faithfully,
Wendy Bacon
