Request for enrollment statistics of Chinese students by level of study and by gender

Currently waiting for a response from University of Sydney, they should respond promptly and normally no later than (details).

Dear University of Sydney,

I am writing to kindly request a detailed breakdown of enrollment statistics, with a particular focus on the annual enrollment of Chinese students.

Specifically, I would like to obtain enrollment data for students holding Chinese nationality (excluding those from Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan) from the academic years 2014/2015 to 2023/2024. Within each academic year, the data should be categorized by level of study, such as undergraduate, Master’s by Coursework, and Doctorate by Research. Furthermore, within each level of study, a further breakdown by gender would be greatly appreciated, forming a two-tier classification structure.

This data is of great significance, and I sincerely appreciate your time and assistance. I look forward to your response.

Yours faithfully,

Wei Rui

Good afternoon Wei Rui,

Thank you for your message. I just wanted to let you know that your request does not currently meet the requirements of the NSW Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (the “GIPA Act”) for an application to access information.

Please note the NSW GIPA Act is not the same as the Commonwealth Freedom of Information Act, in particular there is an application fee of $30 required to be paid. Details of making payments may be found here: https://www.sydney.edu.au/about-us/gover...

The $30 application fee can be paid via the University Portal.

Please let me know when you have made the payment and your application will be formally acknowledged and processing will then commence.

Kind regards,
