Hi Joseph,
Thank you for contacting the Information Access Unit, Transport for NSW (TfNSW).
This Unit is responsible for managing requests for access to information under the Government Information (Public Access) Act (GIPA).
Lost property can be report on: https://transportnsw.info/contact-us/rep....
You may request access to CCTV informally to TfNSW by: https://www.transport.nsw.gov.au/system/....
Sydney Trains retains CCTV for a maximum of 14 days, after which it may no longer be available.
Once the request for CCTV is located, you will be contacted by email and requested to apply for the information formally under GIPA. Please note under the GIPA Act, a $30 fee is required for formal applications.
Upon receipt of your application, agencies are required to decide an application within 20 working days (subject to any suspension or extension required).
A link to the website is attached for your information: https://www.transport.nsw.gov.au/about-u... - on line application: https://www.transport.nsw.gov.au/about-u....
Please note:
* Access to CCTV footage provided by TfNSW, is reviewed under the GIPA Act. Most requests for CCTV footage are released as "Viewing Only".
* An access application will not guarantee access to the requested information.
Kind regards,
Grace
