Release the full PTV Master Style Guide 2018
Dear Public Transport Victoria,
Can you please release the full version of the PTV Master Style Guide 2018? You released part of the document a few years ago, but could you please release the entire document? If it has been updated since, please release the fully updated version
Yours faithfully,
Hugo Malingbrough
Dear Hugo,
Thanks for your message.
The PTV Master Style Guide contains copyright and trademark material. At
present, the program area does not intend to make this publication
generally available to the public.
You can request a copy of the PTV Master Style Guide through the Freedom
of Information Act 1982 (Vic) (the FOI Act). Note that a request under the
FOI Act entails a statutory application fee of $30.60. The fee may be
waived if you are under financial hardship. You will need to provide
evidence of financial hardship in lieu of the application fee (eg provide
a copy of your pension concession card or Centrelink Healthcare card). FOI
requests can be lodged via the [1]secure online FOI Portal. You are
advised not to provide any personal affairs information via the Right to
Know site as responses will be published on the Right to Know website.
Please note that access granted to the PTV Master Style Guide under the
FOI Act does not provide any express or implied permission to use or
reproduce the materials contained in the PTV Master Style Guide.
If you wish to use any of the designs in the PTV Master Style Guide for
public display, distribution, or dissemination, or for incorporation into
another publication or work, whether for a fee or not, then the
appropriate form of access would be through an Intellectual Property (IP)
licence.
Feel free to contact me should you have any further queries.
Many thanks.
Regards,
Gavin

Dear PTV FOI,
I request that this information to be made outside of the FOI as is already produced and does not need to be researched. In addition, it would only require locating one or more files, therefore, doesn't require much of a process.
I find the visual identity of Public Transport Victoria interesting, and am considering creating a Wikipedia article discussing the recent history of Melbourne's public transport signage and visual identity. The 2018 PTV Master Style Guide would be an important reference as part of the research. The already released document has provided great insight, therefore, I am requesting that you release the full document.
Responding to your concern about copyright, none of the material inside the document would be copied- only used as a reference allowed so under copyright law
Yours sincerely,
Hugo Malingbrough
