Dear Dale Webster,
We confirm receipt of your email. However, the scope of your request is not clear.
Your request is addressed to the Assistant Treasurer, though appears to seek documents held by Treasury.
Please urgently advise as to the correct scope of your request.

Dear FOI,
when I submitted this request it bounced back saying it had not been delivered so I resubmitted directly to Treasury.
As there appears to be a difference between the two offices I would like to amend this request to ask for any documents/correspondence held by the Assistant Treasurer that mention both the Regional Banking Taskforce and the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (also referred to as APRA) and a draft copy of the taskforce's final report at the change of government.
I understand drafts of reports are not usually released but due to the crossover of governments I believe it is in the public interest to see what was in the report at the time power was transferred.
Yours sincerely,
Dale Webster

Dear Ms Robertson,
thank you for looking in to this request. It is understandable that you require more time for the reasons you have given so I approve the extension.
Yours sincerely,

Dear Mr Iggulden,
I note that 100 emails concerning APRA, Regional Banking Taskforce and the Assistant Treasurer's office demonstrates a lot of discussion on this subject. I would dispute that 100 emails should be beyond the scope of an FOI request.
Earlier this month I was asked if I would grant an extension of time but no reason was given for the request so I refused. Now that I know there is a considerable, but not unacceptable, level of work involved I would be happy to grant an extension.
As to the second part of my request in reference to the taskforce's final report, I wish to revise that to the following:
Any documents/correspondence held by the Assistant Treasurer that reference any part or all of these terms contained in the final report:
Recommendation 7 (seven) - Review the APRA Points of Presence collection.
Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) to commence in 2022 a review of its Authorised Deposit-taking Institutions (ADI) Points of Presence collection to better capture indicators on how banking services are accessed, with public consultation in early 2023.
Yours sincerely,
Dale Webster
Dear FOI,
Please note, the extension of time I referred to in my previous reply was for another FOI. Apologies for the confusion, my mistake. I still don't believe 100 emails is excessive and unreasonable. I would be happy to allow whatever time is required to process this request.
Yours sincerely,
Dale Webster
