Information, Roads and Maritime Services

Dear Mr Morris,

Thank you for contacting the Information Access Unit, Transport for NSW.

Speed Camera Locations+ADs- http://roadsafety.transport.nsw.gov.au/s...
If you wish to access CCTV footage from one of these speed camera locations at a specified time, you may be able to do so by making a formal access application under the Government Information (Public Access) Act (GIPA).

Please note: None of these camera footage keep in excess 28 days if no one has requested within the time period, the old footage is overwritten by the new footage.

Information regarding the application process and fee can be found on our website at the following link+ADs- https://www.transport.nsw.gov.au/about-u... - online application https://www.transport.nsw.gov.au/about-u....

Upon receipt of your access application, agencies are required to decide within 20 working days of receiving the application (subject to any suspension or extension required).

Generally, access to CCTV footage (if held) is only provided by enabling a person to view the footage.

If you require a copy of the CCTV for legal proceedings, a subpoena will be required.

I hope this information is of assistance.

Kind regards,

Grace Fong
