Rear Garage setback
Dear Blacktown City Council,
We are planning to build a house in Newpark, Melonba Precint 7A (still unregistered). It's a corner lot with 9.77m smaller frontage / primary street and it's 22.50m wide / secondary street, the lot is 15m deep.
I have 2 questions:
1. Can I build double garage on 9.77m frontage which is on my primary street?
2. The other option is to build double garage rear side which will be attached to the building at the rear side on the secondary facade / street.
How much setback will I have to leave from the front boundary to the rear garage which is attached to the building? The depth of the lot is 15m.
Leaving 5.5m setback for rear garage will leave us with very little space at back of the garage which limits our ability to have a backyard for our recreational purposes.
The building will comply to leave 2 m from the secondary boundary.
Yours faithfully,
Meg

Good morning Meghana,
In the Growth Centres such as Marsden Park the corner Lot secondary setback is a minimum of 2m. Older areas such as Blacktown is 3m.
