Dear Sir/Madam,
Thank you for your Freedom of Information request which was received by
the Therapeutic Goods Administration.
The TGA is actively processing FOI requests and is aiming to finalise all
requests as quickly as possible. However, the TGA is experiencing a
significant call on resources to manage Australia's response to COVID-19
and this is having an impact on our ability to process requests. It has
become apparent that the TGA may be unable to meet the current deadline
for your request. Additionally, the recent Christmas shut down period has
affected our ability to meet all deadlines due to the current high volume
of requests on hand.
I would be very grateful if you could please consider agreeing to an
extension under section 24AB(5) of the Freedom of Information Act 1982, of
twenty one (21) days. This will allow for the shutdown period and provide
staff in the relevant line area enough time to properly consider your
response.
Could you please respond advising whether you agree to this extension by
COB today Monday 10 January. I apologise for the short time frame.
