Prime Minister COVIDSafe app usage
Dear Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet,
In the past 30 days from this request, I would like a record of each day the Prime Minister used, and did not use, the COVIDSafe app for more than 1 hour, more than 2 hours, and more than 4 hours, after leaving home.

Hi Simon,
Unless things have changed for iOS since, COVIDSafe does not run in the background on iOS. You have to have your phone unlocked, and the app in the foreground to work 🤦♂️
"This is because Apple's iOS rules typically prevent third-party apps from running in the background and broadcasting Bluetooth signals."
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-04-27/h...
The Australian government did not wait for Google and Apple to update APIs for contact tracing before releasing their app:
https://www.apple.com/au/newsroom/2020/0...
If they have updated COVIDSafe since, users would need to reinstall and then enable the new background permissions before working.

All documents uploaded to right to know are being corrupted due to a technical issue it seems.
This has been going on for days and it appears there is little chance for a quick resolution.

I wonder, what's your definition of "used"? The app, is meant to be "set and forget". You install it, ensure your bluetooth is on, and then leave it alone, until such time you uninstall it. It's not like Facebook where you open it up and have your eyeballs spend time looking at it.
Really don't think the PMO will be able to fulfill your request.
