Dear D

Thank you for your request for information. The Department of the Senate is exempt from Freedom of Information Act requests by s.68A of the Parliamentary Service Act 1999, however, responses may be provided to requests for administrative information of the department. Correspondence to or from senators on matters related to proceedings of the parliament or its committees do not fall into the category of administrative information. It would be a matter for individual senators to confirm whether any such correspondence exists or whether to publish it.
