Dear Wendy,

I am writing to request that the NDIA please ask for an extension of time if it is required, before the 30 day decision deadline passes, in order to preserve my internal review rights. I am just conscious that your decision is due in only a week.

Kind regards,
Emily Lacey

Dear Wendy,

Thank you for the update regarding the documents being located.

You are still within the initial 30 day decision period and able to request an extension from me without having to contact the OAIC. If you require more time, I am happy to grant an extension when requested (although I would prefer it is an extension for an additional 14 days at this stage, rather than an additional 30 days, if the documents have already been located and all that needs to be done is for them to be processed).

Kind regards,
Emily Lacey

Dear Wendy,

Can you please confirm whether you need me to grant you an extension of time, so that my internal review rights are preserved?

It’s not necessary to contact the OAIC if you ask me today (Friday) or on Monday (the final decision date). From experience, I know the OAIC will reject your request as their opinion is that understaffing isn’t a valid reason for an extension.

I’d just really like to get my requested documents please.

Kind regards,
Emily Lacey
