Phillip Island Nature Parks branding guidelines
Dear Phillip Island Nature Park Board of Management,
I write to request a copy of the Phillip Island Nature Parks branding guidelines.
I wish to confirm that it would be used for personal use and reference only and that I do not intend to reproduce any material within said document
Yours faithfully,
Rohan McMaster
Dear Rohan,
Thank you for your recent request.
We refer to your request received by Phillip Island Nature Parks 1
December 2024 in which you requested access to documents under the Freedom
of Information Act 1982 (FOI Act) in the following terms:
“A copy of the Phillip Island Nature Parks branding guidelines”
Document discovery
We made enquiries with the relevant business areas of the Nature Parks
regarding this document.
Decision
The FOI Act provides for informal release under section 16(2), which notes
that nothing in the FOI Act prevents an agency from providing a person
with access to documents outside the FOI Act, where it is possible and
lawful to do so.
An informal release of information involves the Nature Parks receiving an
information access request and releasing the requested information or
document, either in full or in part, outside the FOI Act. This is also
known as administrative release.
Further, Professional Standard 1 requires the Nature Parks to consider
whether a document in its possession and requested under the FOI Act, can
properly be provided outside the FOI Act, and if so, facilitate access or
otherwise advise how an applicant can access the document.
The relevant document for your reference is attached.
Kind regards,
Carolyn
