Pergola Post not covered by roof near the Fence
Dear Blacktown City Council,
I am a resident of Marsden Park and I have built a Pergola in my backyard. While building my pergola the Landscaper said there will be no issue to have only the pergola posts to support the roof near to the fence. The pergola roof is well behind the fence line by 900mm and also the drainage is under 900 mm of the fence. Making sure no air or light is obstructed to the neighbouring fence.
However, recently we were visited by council member and have been advised to move the post inside. I am not opposing the decision. But, would like to request you to please consider our matter as we have used hardwood for the posts and have also made sure that the pergola roof is not obstructing neighbours in any way.
Yours faithfully,
Roshan Lanewala
