ParlView Design Documentation
Dear Department of Parliamentary Services,
This is an administrative access request for design documentation relating to the ParlView system.
I note that the web front-end appears to be written in PHP and I'm interested to learn more about the technical design of the website and its backend. I'm therefore requesting any documentation that describes the design or architecture of the ParlView system.
Yours faithfully,
Henare Degan

Dear Henare
I refer to your request for information, seeking access to design documentation relating to the Parlview system, sent to the DPS Information Request inbox on 29 August 2014 (and outlined below).
The information you have requested about the Parlview system falls within a number of the exemptions outlined under the DPS Policy on Information Requests.
The Policy recognises that public access to documents is subject to certain limitations to ensure that sensitive information, including confidential and secure information is properly protected. The documents requested are exempted on the grounds that they contain material obtained in confidence, they disclose commercially valuable information, and the release of this material raises ICT security concerns and may impact on parliamentary use. In saying this it is important to note that whilst the system information is not available to the public, the Parlview content is readily accessible over the internet for public consumption.
Accordingly, the information requested is withheld and will not be provided by DPS.
Regards
DPS Information Requests
