OFFICIAL
FOI/2023/135
Dear Mr Cole
Thank you for your email to the Department of the Prime Minister and
Cabinet (PM&C) dated 7 May 2023, in which you made a request under the
Freedom of Information Act 1982 (FOI Act) in the following terms (my
emphasis in bold):
1. list of the entire delegation travelling with the prime minister to
london for the coronation in may 2023 excluding security personnel.
2. list of the entire delegation travelling with the governor general to
london for the coronation in may 2023 excluding security personnel.
3.Name of hotel and number of rooms booked for delegations.
4.number and type of vehicles hired for the delegation.
Notification of partial transfer of FOI request
The FOI Act provides a mechanism to transfer a request to another agency
where the subject-matter of the request is more closely connected with the
functions of that agency than with those of the agency to which the
request is made (section 16(1)(b) of the FOI Act). This ensures that a
decision on the request is made by the most appropriate agency. As item 2,
and therefore tangentially items 3 and 4 are more closely connected with
the functions of Office of the Official Secretary to the Governor-General
(the Office), we have transferred those parts of the request to them. You
will receive further correspondence and acknowledgement from the Office on
this matter. Should you wish to contact them, please do so by emailing
[1][email address].
PM&C will continue to process item 1 of your request, and in so far as any
information we hold which relates to items 3 and 4 of your request. You
may continue to corresponded with us with respect to this part of your
request at [2][email address].
Kind regards
Leisha
