Copies of all invoices and receipts for US President Barack Obama's accommodation during his visit to Australia for the 2014 G20 World Leaders Summit.
I request that all costs for all aspects of the processing of this
request be waived on the grounds that the release of this
information is in the public interest.

Finance (Finance) requesting access to the following under the Freedom of
Information Act 1982 (FOI Act).
Copies of all invoices and receipts for US President Barack Obama's
accommodation during his visit to Australia for the 2014 G20 World Leaders
Summit.
As the subject matter of the requested documents is more closely connected
with the functions of the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet
(PM&C), they have confirmed that they are better placed to process your
request. As such, Finance has transferred your request, in full, to PM&C
under section 16 of the FOI Act.

It depends. If you reply to a specific inbound email from the agency, it will go back to that email address. If you simply write a reply, it goes to the email address that we have for the agency you selected.

I refer to your email dated 24 February 2015 in which you made a request
to the Department of Finance under the Freedom of Information Act 1982
(the FOI Act) in the following terms:
Copies of all invoices and receipts for US President Barack Obama's
accommodation during his visit to Australia for the 2014 G20 World Leaders
Summit.
The Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (the Department) accepted
transfer of your request under section 16 of the FOI Act from the
Department of Finance on 27 February 2015.
Timeframe for receiving your decision
Under section 16 of the FOI Act your request is taken to have been
received by the Department of the Prime Minister an Cabinet at the time it
was received by the Department of Finance. Finance received your request
on 24 February 2015 and the 30-day statutory period for processing your
request commenced from the day after that date. You should therefore
expect a decision from us by 26 March 2015. The period of 30 days may be
extended in certain circumstances. We will advise you if there is any
extension of time.
Charges
Agencies may decide that an applicant is liable to pay a charge in respect
of a request for access to documents. If the Department decides that you
are liable to pay a charge, we will send you a preliminary assessment of
the charge as soon as possible.
Publication of documents
Please note that information released under the FOI Act may later be
published online on our disclosure log at

certain exceptions. If you think you might wish to raise any objections to
the publication of any of the information which may be released to you

It is the Department’s policy to withhold the names and contact details of
officers not in the Senior Executive Service (SES) as well as the mobile

contained within documents that fall within scope of the request. The
names and other details of departmental or agency SES officers will not be
withheld unless there is some reason for that information to be exempt
from release. If you require the names and contact details of non-SES
officers or the mobile or direct numbers of SES officers please let us

will take it that you agree to that information being excluded from the
scope of your request.
