maker may consider your request. Otherwise we will take it that you agree

Dear Nel,

I refer to your request received on 6 November for access to documents
under the FOI Act. 

A Preliminary Charge Assessment Notice was sent to you on 29 November 2022
(see below and attached).

Due to extended public holiday closures at this time of year, the
Department is likely to require additional time to process your request.

The Department seeks your agreement under section 15AA of the Freedom of
Information Act 1982 to extend the statutory timeframe for the processing
of your request by 14 days.

This means that once you take the action specified on the charge notice,
we will then add 14 days to the statutory due date. For example, if you
paid the charge notice today, this would extend the due date for your
request to Saturday, 7 January 2023. If a decision is made on your request
before the extended due date, it will be provided to you.

Please provide a response to this Extension of Time request by close of
business, Monday 19 December 2022.

On 29 November 2022, Department notified you of a requirement to pay a
processing charge of $12.00 in respect of your request (see email below). 

 

In particular, the Department notified you that, within 30 days of receipt
