Dear FOI,

I have received a response from Comsuper regarding the number of members of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) who are Maximum Benefit Limit (MBL) Mebers.

There are currently 456 serving members of the ADF that have reached their MBL. Meaning, Defence contributes 3% of their superannuable salary, each pay fortnight, as the Employer Contribution.

There are currently 119 former members of the ADF who reached their MBL prior to their discharge. It is undeterminable how long these members were serving in the ADF and receiving the compulsory Employer Contribution (Superannuation Guarantee) of 3%.

Thank you for assisting with this FOI request.

Yours sincerely,

Gerard Gough
