NDIS: Risk Committee, Risk Week, Risk Governance, Risk Management Framework & Digital Risk Mitigation
Dear National Disability Insurance Agency,
Please provide copies of the following 9-15 documents:
1. copies of all the NDIA’s Risk Committee’s Minutes of Meeting for the financial year
2019-20, cited in the NDIA 2019-20 Annual Report [1]. This includes all attendees,
agenda, topics and resolutions/outcomes.
https://www.righttoknow.org.au/request/n...
2. provide copies of all the NDIA’s ICT and Digital Committee’s Minutes of Meeting for
the financial year 2019-20, cited in the NDIA 2019-20 Annual Report [1]. This includes all
attendees, agenda, topics and resolutions/outcomes.
https://www.righttoknow.org.au/request/n...
3. provide copies of all the NDIA’s “risk week” activities for the financial year 2019-20,
cited in the NDIA 2019-20 Annual Report [1]. This includes training materials, resources,
references, feedback, attendees and outcomes. Also, specific details about “Insight”.
https://www.righttoknow.org.au/request/n...
4. provide copies of the NDIA’s “best practice risk and governance principles” for the
financial year 2019-20, cited in the NDIA 2019-20 Annual Report.
https://www.righttoknow.org.au/request/n...
5. copies of the NDIA’s “risk management framework” for the financial year 2019-20,
cited in the NDIA 2019-20 Annual Report [1]. Also, was the NDIA’s ‘risk management
strategy’ approved by National Cabinet’s Disability Reform Council? If so, please provide
a copy of the approval and the approved risk management strategy.
https://www.righttoknow.org.au/request/n...
6. a copy of the NDIA’s ‘alternate cloud environment strategy’ cited in the NDIA’s Annual
Report 2019-20.
https://www.righttoknow.org.au/request/n...
7. a copy of the NDIA’s research that identified ‘mobile capacity’ as the priority for
participants, cited in the NDIA’s Annual Report 2019-20.
https://www.righttoknow.org.au/request/n...
8. a copy of the NDIA’s 'Agency-wide review of the prevailing operating risks’ conducted
during the financial year 2019-20, cited in the NDIA’s Annual Report 2019-20.
https://www.righttoknow.org.au/request/n...
9. a copy of the NDIA’s ‘alternate cloud environment strategy’ cited in the NDIA’s Annual
Report 2019-20
https://www.righttoknow.org.au/request/n...
As these documents are specific documents cited in the NDIA's own public communications and disclosures, they should be rather simple to find, not be too demanding nor voluminous. Poor search systems and practices might result in seemingly thousands of related documents, but this would be false and misleading. At best there are 9 documents in total. At the extreme, perhaps 20, all of which are publicly discussed documents and public records.
Yours faithfully,
Shirley

Dear foi,
Your response and search represents a substantial overstatement of the request and specific documentation. As a result, this considerable overstatement seeks to trigger an artificial and unjustified use of the 'practical refusal reason'.
The following reiteration of the original request highlights the massive flaws and unsubstantiated claims that associated documentation is voluminous, or in excess of 6,000 document.
1. A risk committee may meet 4-6 times per year. As a result, this request relates to no more than 6 documents. Which, as per the National Archives Act, must be preserved and stored by the NDIA.
2. Again, a committee might meet 4-6 times per year. As a result, no more than 6 documents fall within this request.
3. Risk week would have been a series of training and education sessions held over a 7 day period. No more than 10 documents likely relate to this activity.
4. 1 document... the best practice risk and governance principles', for the FY 19-20
5. 1 document... the risk management framework.
6. 1 document... NDIA's alternate cloud environment
7. 1 document... "mobile capacity' research document
8. 1 document... Operating risks review
9. 1 document... alternate cloud environment strategy
Total = 32 documents.
Therefore, your system and response has overstated the request and related documentation by nearly 6,600.
My initial, constrained request stands. Please provide the 32 documents requested.
Yours sincerely,
Shirley
