NCC Style/Writing/Brand Guides
Dear National Competition Council,
This is a Freedom of Information Request for the purposes of the Freedom of Information Act 1982.
I request access to the Style Guides/Brand Guides/Writing Guides currently used for the National Competition Council,
Given the upcoming holiday period for the APS (happy holidays to you reading this), I forecast my consent for any required 30 day extension to deal with the request at this time.
Yours faithfully,
Glenn Hamiltonshire

Dear Glenn,
Thank you for your FOI request.
The National Competition Council (NCC) is provided with its corporate and secretariat services by the ACCC under an MOU between the NCC and ACCC; this means that the written material produced by the NCC is produced by ACCC staff who are usually temporarily engaged by the NCC under the MOU arrangement. The MOU arrangement may be found on our website at https://ncc.gov.au/about/ncc_policies
The NCC does not have its own Style Guides/Brand Guides/Writing guides but rather, when necessary, refers to the ACCC Style Guide and or the Australian Government Style Manual. The Australian Government Style Manual is publicly available and located here https://www.stylemanual.gov.au/
Given these circumstances, and noting that you have made the same request of the ACCC that you have of the NCC, I would direct you to the ACCC for relevant Style Guides/Brand Guides/Writing guides.
If you are happy with this response I would ask that you confirm withdrawal of your FOI request. Alternatively I am more than happy to discuss this over the phone on the number listed below or by reply email.
Regards
