Dear Mr. Singh,
I would like to clarify the scope of my request and address some concerns that you have raised in your reply.
You noted that my request for "any relevant documents relating to the current progress of the NBN's ongoing expansion of Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) technology" was too broad. I would like to make it known that I am seeking progress reports and statistical information regarding the current expansion of FTTP technology to Fibre to the Node premises, specifically progress reports and statistical information regarding the number of premises that have been upgraded during this expansion, and the number of premises that have been deemed eligible to connect.
If possible, I would like seek documents made before the 5th of December 2022.
Please contact me if you have any further questions, and I hope that this clarifies my request.
Kind regards,
Alex Sullivan
Dear Alex
Thank you for your email.
Your request will require a little more clarification. Are you referring
only to the project to upgrade FTTN to FTTP technology (N2P program) and
if so, are you just seeking the number of premises that have been upgraded
and the number of premises that could have upgraded? Would the following
clarification be accurate?
As at a date on or shortly before 5 December 2022, and in relation to
nbn’s N2P program:
1. the number of FTTN premises that are ready to connect to FTTP
technology;
2. the number of such premises that have been connected to FTTP
technology.
Please let me know if this is correct as this should be clear enough for
nbn staff to locate. However, this does not mean that the data would be
released. I draw your attention to nbn’s commercial activities carve-out
in my previous correspondence in this regard.
