Middle Harbour Tunnel
Dear Roads and Maritime Services,
I would like a list of RMS and Planning documents that consider and support the construction of the proposed tunnel under Middle Harbour to Seaforth, the NSW Transport Masterplan does not, nor does the Northern Beaches Transport Plan or the State Infrastructure Plan. The proposed tunnel has not been mentioned in any council local planning policy. The $500 million road development around the new Forestville hospital did not consider or plan for the tunnel.
Yours faithfully,
Keith Platt
Dear Keith,
To do this, you can lodge an Access Application under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA Act) https://www.transport.nsw.gov.au/about-u...
There is an application fee of $30, which you can pay by credit card, cheque or money order. Alternatively, you can make the payment at your local Motor Registry or Service NSW office, should you wish to lodge the application.
I have also attached the ‘Access application form’ and ‘Credit card authority form’.
Please review the TfNSW website information prior to making an application. Please note that an application will not guarantee access to the requested information.

Dear Information,
I have received the following
On 31 October 2017 we received your access application under the GIPA Act for the following information:
‘In respect of the Middle Harbour Tunnel, the following documents:
a) Any cost benefit analysis prepared; and
b) Any briefing note/s’
Following a search for the information you seek, I have determined based on feedback from the relevant business area, that to deal with the application in its current terms would require a substantial and unreasonable diversion of agency resources. .....
The business area have identified more than 270 documents for the requested period, however has suggested narrowing the date range to June 2015 to June 2016.........
I request that you please consider amending the scope of your application in light of the above feedback, to establish more reasonable terms of request to which the agency may respond
I am considering narrowing the request to the tunnel Cost/benefit results 2014 to 2017 would this be reasonable?
Yours sincerely,
keith platt
Dear Information,
Hello, after exchanging emails over Christmas with Jarrod Whitbourn, who has been extremely polite and helpful, my requests for the pre-feasibility assessment report or the business case for the proposed tunnel have been formally refused.
Yours sincerely,
keith platt
