Freedom of Information requests nos. 2025-00045 & 2025-00046

 

We refer to your two requests for access to documents under the Freedom of
Information Act 1982 (Cth) (FOI Act).  You are seeking ‘the dates and
times of any meetings between [Australia Post’s] CEO and Senator Matt
Canavan between 1 July 2023 and 1 July 2024’ and ‘the dates and times of
any meetings between [Australia Post’s] CEO and Treasurer Jim Chalmers
between 1 July 2023 and 1 July 2024’.

 

Under section 27A of the FOI Act, we are required to give relevant third
parties a reasonable opportunity to make submissions as to whether they
believe any document(s) should be exempt from release.  As such, we are
writing to advise you that the respective 30-day statutory period for
processing your two requests has been extended by 30 days as we undertake
this process.

 

With this 30-day extension, you should expect receive a decision by 4
September 2024.
