Mechanisms for managing any COI in review on the regulation, sale and marketing of e-cigarettes
Dear Department of Health,
I've submitted one FOI request re declared COI in Discussion paper: Options to minimise the risks associated with the marketing and use of electronic nicotine delivery systems [ENDS] in Australia.
It can be seen here:
https://www.righttoknow.org.au/request/c...
The tender for the discussion paper adds: https://www.tenders.gov.au/?event=public...
"Where a Tenderer has disclosed, under paragraph 35.1 of this RFT, the Tenderer must also propose mechanisms for managing any conflicts of interest.."
Please advise what those proposed mechanisms are, for those participating in the accepted tender.
Yours faithfully,
Andrew Thompson
Dear Department of Health,
I sent documents in support of a waiver to the quoted FOI fee on Monday of this week. It is now Friday and I've heard nothing more.
What is the delay?
Yours faithfully,
Andrew Thompson
Dear Mr Thompson
The FOI unit can confirm that it has received your email with the
supporting document for a waiver of charges on 30 May 2016.
The supporting document has been provided to the decision maker and is
being reviewed.
Section 29(6) of the Freedom of Information Act 1982 requires that “an
agency or minister must, within 30 days of receiving an applicant’s
contention on charges, make a decision whether to correct, reduce or waive
a charge”.
The FOI Unit will inform you of the outcome of your request for a waiver
of charges on or before 29 June 2016.
Kind regards
FOI Health
