Management of user personal details on Manly Ferry free WIFI service, Surf City Free WIFI and Manly Wharf Free WIFI
Dear Northern Beaches Council,
Could you please send through the latest documents that include information about what happens with user personal details entered as part of the Manly Ferry free WIFI service, Surf City Free WIFI service and Manly Wharf Free WIFI services as part of the login processes and any third parties that user data is shared with.
If possible, please treat this as an administrative/informal request. Otherwise please proceed with my request as a formal information request under the Act.

Thank you for your request below.
Council only provided Surf City Wi-Fi, which has now been discontinued and
replaced by @Northernbeaches Council Free Wi-Fi service. Councils Systems
and Information Infrastructure Manager has provided the below advice in
regards to the information you have requested.
The Manly Ferry Free Wi-Fi service is currently being run by a company
called "Tomizone" and is independent to the Northern Beaches Council Wi-Fi
system that is operating in Manly. This information may be available if
you contact the Ferry service directly should you require any information
about the data captured on their service and if any data is shared with
any third party. Council is currently unaware of what personal data they
capture, and what they do with the data.
The Manly Wharf Free Wi-Fi service is operated by a private company called
"Invigor" and is once again run independently to the Council-run Wi-Fi
service in Manly. We would suggest that you reach out to Invigor if you
wish to discover more about their service if they share the data with any
third parties.
As mentioned above the Surf City Free Wi-Fi service has now been
discontinued and has been replaced by the @Northernbeaches Council Free
Wi-Fi service, which is an improved service with faster speed and a better
user experience. We do not capture any personal data as can be seen during
the user logon experience, nor do we share any data with any third
parties.
