Kosciusko National Park - Visitor Numbers
Dear Director of National Parks,
We would like to access 2015, 2016 and 2017 visitor entry numbers to the Kosciusko National Park.
Specifically, information on gate entries at the Thredbo and Perisher gates month by month.
Are you able to assist us, as the Jindabyne office is unable to assist us.

Thanks for contacting us - unfortunately we might not be able to help you because the documents you seek are likely not in our possession.
Kosciusko National Park is managed by the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service, part of the Office of Environment and Heritage (New South Wales). As a result, records of the amount of visitors to the park area more likely in their possession (NSW State government) rather than ours (Commonwealth government).
For this reason, if the request were to continue with the Department, it would likely result in a section 24A (documents do not exist) decision.

On 10 April we advised that the Kosciusko National Park is managed by the NSW Parks and Wildlife Service. We also advised that the Commonwealth Department of the Environment and Energy likely does not hold the documents you seek.
Could you please advise if you wish to proceed to a decision or withdraw your request from the Commonwealth Department of the Environment and Energy.
