Dear 'Megalfar',
RE: FOI Request - FOI14/101
On 19 June 2014 the Department sent you a notice of intention to refuse your request on the basis that the scope is so broad as to make processing the request a substantial and unreasonable diversion of this agency's resources (attached).
In that letter, the decision maker noted that you had 14 days from that date to respond to notice of intention to refuse by either:
a) revising the scope of your request;
b)withdrawing your request;
c)advising the department that you do not wish to revise your request.
That 14 day period (the request consultation process) expires on 3 July 2014.
Your email below indicates that you wish to seek internal review of the Department's decision, however this is not possible as the Department has not yet made a final decision regarding your request.
Please clarify whether you would like to:
a) revise your request;
b)withdraw your request;
c) not revise your request.
If you do not respond to this email and the notice of intention to refuse before COB 3 July 2014, your request will be deemed to have been withdrawn under section 24AB(7) of the FOI Act.
Please note that you need to refer to the FOI number(FOI14/101 ) in future correspondence so that we can identify which request you are referring to.
