Internal documentation pertaining to "Operation Achilles (2006)"

We're waiting for Sean to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear Queensland Police,

I am writing to you to request the release of the following documents:

1. Initial communication from international law enforcement agencies to the QPS relating to a join operation named "Operation Achilles" that the QPS took part in during 2006-2008 via Task force Argos to seize the domain or website associated with illegal production of CSAM.

2. Any documentation pertaining to the design of the websites "Seizure image" or the QPS logo placement on the image.

3. Internal communications or memorandums pertaining to the immediate aftermath of the websites seizure, limited to a 14 day search period from intial take down.

4. URL'S seized during the operation along with the names of the websites and their logos where possible.

I understand these request mat ve broad and i will narrow them down in future if possible. I would like to also pre emptivy state that I wish for this information and give my permission to have identifiable information removed from it. Such as the identifiable names of officers, middle names, phone numbers, etc.

Good Morning Sean,

 

Thank you for contacting the Queensland Police Service, Right to
Information and Subpoena Unit. I refer to your email below, regarding
access to documents held by the Queensland Police Service.

 

Should you wish to make an application for documents, you will need to
complete the attached access application form. Alternatively, you can also
apply online at- [1]http://www.rti.qld.gov.au/

 

You will also need to provide a certified copy of your identification.
This identification document can be a photocopy of a driver licence,
passport or a birth certificate. Please ensure that the photocopy has been
certified by either a Justice of the Peace, Commissioner for Declarations
or a Solicitor. The identification must be certified within the past 12
months.

 

If the documents you seek access to contain your personal information
only, there is no charge associated with your request. If you seek access
to documents which do not concern your personal information or contain
another individual/s personal information, your request will be processed
pursuant to the Right to Information Act 2009 and therefore payment of the
application fee ($55.75) is required. An electronic payment link can be
issued once the application has been allocated to a case manager.

Your completed application form and certified identification document
should then be sent directly to this Unit either by post to:

Once an RTI application is received the processing period begins (25
business days), even if it does not meet the requirements of the IP Act
(2009) or RTI Act (2009). Once the application has been made valid, the
application is then considered re-presented, and the legislation allows
our Unit twenty-five (25) business days to process your request. This can
be extended by an additional ten (10) business days if your request
requires us to consult with third parties.
