Inquiry about Binance's Cryptocurrency Trading License in Australia
Dear Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre,
According to the Binance official website: https://www.binance.com/en/legal/licenses, Binance has obtained a trading license authorized by AUSTRAC. However, when I searched for relevant information on the official AUSTRAC website: https://www.austrac.gov.au/, I couldn't find any information. I need to inquire about the following:
1.Where can I find Binance's trading license on the official AUSTRAC website: https://www.austrac.gov.au/?
2.Can you provide me with a copy of Binance's trading license?
Thank you, dear review team!

OFFICIAL
Good morning,
I have interpreted your below enquiry as a request for administrative access to information. In relation to your enquiry, I can confirm that although AUSTRAC does publish a remittance sector register ( https://apps.austrac.gov.au/rsr/ ) AUSTRAC does not publish information in respect to Digital Currency Exchange Providers (DCEP).
There are ongoing challenges in respect to publishing DCEP information. Those challenges are outlined in the following AUSTRAC publication available on our website:
https://www.austrac.gov.au/news-and-medi....
Beyond that particular publication is further information available about de-banking within the Parliament of Australia's website as follows:
https://www.aph.gov.au/Parliamentary_Bus....
I'm hopeful this information clarifies why such information is not published or available on our website. I hope this answers your question, as well as provides useful background in respect to why AUSTRAC does not publish DCEP information within our website.
Thank you for your enquiry.
