Identity documents provided by Afghan refugees for citizenship applications
Dear Department of Home Affairs,
I would like to know the kind of documents DoHA expects an Afghan refugee to be able to provide or to have once had in their possession as evidence of their identity prior to coming to Australia, and examples of recent identity documents that were accepted by DoHa as acceptable proof of the identity of Afghan citizens in Australia in recent citizenship approvals.
I’d like this information to be applied to:
- A widowed female mother born in Kabul in 1962 who lived in Pakistan from 2008 - 2013 and then from 2013 onwards in Australia
- A female born in Kabul in 1991 who lived in Pakistan 2008 - 2013 and then from 2013 in Australia
- A male born in Kabul in 2001 who lived in Pakistan from 2008 - 2013 and then from 2013 onwards in Australia.
Yours faithfully,
Rebecca
