I would like the total end of year figure was for wages including bonuses and benefits for all politicians, politician retirees and their spouses was for year ending 2013/2014.
Dear Minister for Finance,
I would like to know what the total annual cost of wages, including bonuses and benefits was for all politicians and retired politicians including their spouses for the year ending 2013/2014.
I would like this as a total cost not separated by position, bonuses and benefits or their spouses. If that is not possible the annual budget for the same request for 2014/2015
Yours faithfully,
Kelly Pawlowski

Hi Kelly
You have made the request to the Department of Finance's FOI inbox, but your email is addressed to the Finance Minister. Please clarify if you require the Department of Finance or the Finance Minister to respond.
We reviewed your request and it is unlikely that the Department of Finance or the Finance Minister would hold any documents that you are seeking. The appropriate Departments responsible for Parliamentarians' salaries are the Department of the Senate and the Department of the House of Representatives (see entitlement handbook chapter 2 http://maps.finance.gov.au/entitlements_...). You may wish to make a request directly to those departments.
In light of the above, did you want to continue your FOI request with the Department of Finance?
Please call me if you want to discuss.
Regards,
Chak
