FY17/18 Expenditure on Private Investigators
Dear Department of Veterans' Affairs,
Under s 17 of the FOI Act I seek a compiled listing from your financial management information system of all FY17/18 payments made by DVA (whether directly or indirectly) to any private investigator (also known sometimes as a private inquiry agent) entity.
As private investigators must be registered under state/territory laws in Australia, and DVA would be obligated to confirm they do not unlawfully interfere in the privacy of others by hiring unqualified and unregistered private investigators, or allow contractors employed by them to do so, I’m sure DVA is well aware of who these people are (even if from General Ledger Account Code alone).
Verity Pane

Attn INFORMATION.LAW,
It is a matter of record that DVA hires and uses private investigators yet you make a bald faced lie that no such records exist.
Really, DVA just doesn’t care how outrageous the lie is any more, does it...
Fine, Internal Review to the eventual IC Review you’ll force through lying yet again with your corrupt and fraudulent and bad faith ways.
Ms Pane
